Rekey or replace?
Rekeying changes the inside of your existing lock so old keys stop working. It's a quick, cost-effective option when the lock itself is in good shape. Replacing makes more sense when a lock is worn, damaged, or you'd like an upgrade such as a stronger deadbolt or a smart lock. We'll give you an honest recommendation.
Moving into a new home
You have no way of knowing who still has keys to a property you've just bought or rented. Previous owners, past tenants, tradespeople and agents may all have had copies. Changing the locks on day one is one of the simplest ways to secure a new home.
After a break-in
If your locks have been forced or damaged, we can replace them the same night so your home or business is secure again.

Questions about lock changes and rekeying
Is rekeying cheaper than replacing?
Usually, yes, because the existing lock body is kept. We'll quote both options if you're unsure.
Can I have one key for all my doors?
Often, yes. We can set compatible locks up so a single key works across your front, back and side doors.
